Pairing SUBSTANCE with STYLE

Hey Wildflowers,
All I think is pink around this time every year. In honor of my mom, I support the Bali Pink Ribbon Foundation and attend their fundraising events for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. They raise SO much money and awareness while having so much fun. And speaking of fun...
In homage to my mom, I absolutely have to celebrate the fab thrift store outfit I curated for one event, in under five minutes, for just over $5:
- TOP: $2 - traditional Balinese Kebaya, typically worn for ceremonies with a sebuk prada (essentially a cloth belt).
- SKIRT: $1 - just a pink skirt
- EYEWEAR: Free - pink heart glasses - I went up to a guy and told him I wanted them and he gave them to me. yay!
- SHOES: $3 - Guess brand strappy heels
- JEWELRY: PinqySwear gems you can find right here in the online store!
My mom always encouraged my love for fashion. She even bought me a sewing machine in high school so I could learn to sew the alterations I made on my finds, rather than using safety pins. I stuck with the safety pins, lol, but now I can really appreciate her support. She was so generous with her love, and that's why it feels great to give back in her name, and look good doing it. She taught me that style always pairs well with substance.
